Carlos Afonso (BR) ist the head of technological development at RITS, the Rede de informacion para o terceiro setor - the information network for civil society. From this nonprofit organization (and from some other important NGOs in LAC), Carlos has been working for decades to "make computer technology and its powerful communication tools available to the poorest sectors of the population, largely bypassed by the digital revolution".

Bernard Cassen (F) is Director General of "Le Monde Diplomatique" and the president of ATTAC in France and coordinator if its international commission. He is a key figure in the World Social Forum.

»  Ama Dadson

Ama Dadson (Ghana) is now establishing an online digital audio library service to provide African publications to the blind and visually impaired in Ghana. From 2001-2004 she has for UNEP DTIE where she co-ordinated the work programme of the Global e- Sustainability initiative (GeSI) an ICT industry initiative, in close liaison with member companies, associations and partner organization The International Telecommunications Union (ITU).

»  Mahdi Elmandjra

Mahdi Elmandjra (MOR) teaches international relations at the University of Rabat since 1958. He was President of the World Future Studies Federation and of Futuribles International (Paris), Founding President of the   Moroccan Organization of Human Rights, and is a member of the African Academy of Sciences. He has published twenty books and over 700 articles in fifteen languages in the areas of human and social sciences.
